Why Audi?
Audi in our auction history. We monitor ~180,000 cars weekly across Japanese auction networks. Audi surfaces most often as: R8, TTS Coupe, S8, S5 Sportback and Q7. Every lot lands on our desk before the bid: auction sheet, detail photos, repair history, inspector report.
Where they surface. In our history Audi comes mostly from Tokyo, Yokohama and JAA. That matters because every network runs its own beat: USS Tokyo closes Thursdays, HAA Kobe Tuesdays, TAA Yokohama Fridays. We know when to bid and when to walk.
Years and prices. Our Audi records span 2000–2023. Start prices range 50k JPY to 11M JPY (hammer typically lands 1.3–2× the start). On top of that: RoRo shipping (€1,200–1,800), 10% customs, 3.1% or 18.6% excise (engine-dependent), 23% VAT. Full landed-cost calculator sits on the homepage.
Why Japan, not Germany. Audi cars in Japan were bought by Audi Japan dealers and Tokyo/Osaka private collectors. Shaken inspections every two years filter out rusty examples. From the German market you end up with the same cars that have circled there for five years, with the odometer rolled back twice.
