Cadillac LHD from Japanese auctions

    Cadillac from Japanese auctions.
Escalade, CTS-V, American luxury in LHD.

Cadillac is the American luxury marque founded in 1902 in Detroit, today part of General Motors. The range is led by the full-size Escalade SUV with a 6.2 V8 and by the CTS and CTS-V sport sedans with supercharged V8 power. Cars at Japanese auctions are imports and come factory left-hand drive (LHD), which for a buyer in Poland and the EU means the wheel is on the natural side.

    Why Cadillac?

Cadillac is America's oldest luxury marque and was for decades a status symbol in the United States. Founded in 1902 in Detroit, its name honours Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, the city's founder. Since 1909 Cadillac has belonged to General Motors, where most of the models offered today are engineered.

The cornerstone of the range is the Escalade, a full-size SUV built on GM's large-utility platform. It pairs a roomy seven- or eight-seat cabin with a naturally aspirated 6.2 V8 making roughly 420 hp. The top Escalade V receives a supercharged 6.2 V8 producing over 680 hp, making it one of the fastest large SUVs on sale.

The brand's other face is the V-Series performance line. The CTS-V sedan with its supercharged V8 is Cadillac's direct answer to the German M and AMG saloons. Successive generations raised output from around 400 hp in the first car to over 600 hp in the last, built around an engine shared with the Chevrolet Corvette.

At Japanese auctions Cadillacs surface as imported left-hand-drive (LHD) cars. That is a real advantage for a buyer in Poland and the EU: the wheel sits on the left, so the car suits right-hand traffic with no conversion. We check every example for originality, service history and the condition described in the Japanese auction sheet.
