Nissan GT-R R35.
The Godzilla that left the Skyline behind.
The R35 is the first GT-R to drop the Skyline name. It is a standalone model built from December 2007 to August 2025, powered by the VR38DETT, a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6. Each engine is hand-assembled by a single Takumi technician at the Yokohama plant. All-wheel drive with a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox delivers ferocious acceleration and traction in any conditions. Power grew through the production run from 480 hp on early cars to 570 hp on standard versions and 600 hp on the Nismo variants.

Which R35 to choose?
R35 early years (2007-2010)
The first cars, with 480 to 530 hp. The cheapest way into an R35, but they need careful checks of the dual-clutch gearbox and service history. A rawer, more characterful early Godzilla.
R35 2012-2016
After updates, power rose to 545 then 570 hp, with improved suspension, brakes and refinement. A mature, polished daily-usable version with supercar pace and a strong value-to-performance balance.
R35 facelift (2017-2025)
A refreshed front end, a better interior and 570 hp as standard. The most comfortable and modern standard version, the easiest to live with day to day.
GT-R Nismo
The flagship at 600 hp, with a retuned chassis, aero parts and lighter components. The rarest and most expensive R35, prized by collectors.
