Bentley Continental GT · coupe & convertible · Buying guide

    Continental GT.
The grand tourer under the hammer.

The Continental GT is Bentley's flagship grand tourer, offered as a coupe (GT) and a convertible (GTC). Power comes from the W12 6.0 twin-turbo (626 to 659 hp in Speed trim) or the V8 4.0 twin-turbo (542 hp), both with all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch gearbox. The third generation arrived in 2018; the latest car moved to a V8 hybrid and retired the W12. Continental surfaces regularly at Japanese auction, usually low-mileage and richly specified.

    Which version to choose?

    Continental GT / GTC W12

The classic layout with the W12 6.0 twin-turbo (626 hp). GT is the coupe, GTC the soft-top convertible. The most characterful, refined engine in the range and a collector favourite.

    Continental GT V8

The 4.0 twin-turbo (542 hp). A lighter nose, sharper handling and better economy than the W12, with no loss of comfort. A sound compromise for the driver chasing agility.

    Continental GT Speed

The hottest variant — the W12 tuned to 659 hp, with bespoke suspension and a torque-vectoring differential. The fastest and priciest Continental of its generation.
