Container (Japan → Gdynia)
The car is secured inside a sea container — full protection from the weather and mechanical damage. We recommend it for higher-value cars, special colours, and for collectors who want to ship extra spare parts in the same container.
RoRo (Japan → European port)
The car drives onto the vessel on its own wheels. A faster and cheaper option, without the extra mechanical protection. From the port we arrange overland transport to Poland. We agree the route together for each car, depending on its value and the delivery time.
Customs clearance
We clear customs in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. 10% duty, 21% VAT. Polish excise of 3.1% (engines ≤ 2.0 L) or 18.6% (engines > 2.0 L) is still due when the car is registered in Poland. On request: sworn translation of the export certificate, the purchase invoice and the customs clearance, plus an appraisal from the Polski Związek Motorowy (the Polish motoring federation).
Insurance
We include basic freight insurance. On request we arrange full insurance for the whole import.
