Cookies we use today

  • karasaki-consent (necessary): stores your consent choice. Lifetime: 12 months.
  • karasaki-lang (necessary): stores your language. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
  • karasaki-currency (necessary): stores your selected currency. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
  • karasaki-steering (necessary): stores your steering preference (LHD/RHD). Lifetime: 12 months.
  • karasaki-lang-banner (necessary): remembers the dismissed language banner. Lifetime: 90 days.
  • sidebar (necessary): remembers the sidebar state. Session.

We collect traffic statistics via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which use no cookies and do not identify you personally, so they need no consent.

Analytics (after your consent)

Once you consent to analytics we load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. They help us understand how you use the site (pages viewed, traffic sources, session recordings and attention maps). None of these cookies are set without your consent.

Google Analytics 4

  • _ga: distinguishes users. Lifetime: up to 2 years.
  • _ga_*: keeps Google Analytics session state. Lifetime: up to 2 years.

Microsoft Clarity

  • _clck: Clarity user ID and its preferences. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
  • _clsk: ties page views into a single recording session. Lifetime: 1 day.
  • CLID: recognises the first visit. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
  • MUID: browser identifier across Microsoft domains. Lifetime: up to 12 months.
  • ANONCHK, SM: Microsoft technical cookies supporting Clarity. Lifetime: session to 10 minutes.

Marketing (after your consent)

Once you consent to marketing we load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). It lets us measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads and match audiences. Without your consent the script is not loaded and none of the cookies below are set.

Meta Pixel

  • _fbp: browser identifier set by our own site (first-party), used to measure ads and match audiences. Lifetime: up to 90 days.
  • _fbc: stores the ad click identifier so a visit can be attributed to a campaign. Set only when you arrive from an ad. Lifetime: up to 90 days.

Ad-effectiveness measurement (first-party)

  • karasaki-attrib: remembers your first arrival from an ad (the Google click identifier and utm campaign labels) so we know which campaign a later inquiry came from. A first-party cookie of our own site, never shared with third parties. Set only when you arrive from an ad and only with your consent. Lifetime: up to 120 days.

Google Ads is not enabled. If we switch on further advertising tools, we will expand this section before they go live.
