Why Chevrolet?
Chevrolet in our auction history. We monitor ~180,000 cars weekly across Japanese auction networks. Chevrolet surfaces most often as: Camaro, Corvette, Suburban, Tahoe and Astro. Every lot lands on our desk before the bid: auction sheet, detail photos, repair history, inspector report.
Where they surface. In our history Chevrolet comes mostly from Tokyo, Nagoya&Hokuriku and Yokohama. That matters because every network runs its own beat: USS Tokyo closes Thursdays, HAA Kobe Tuesdays, TAA Yokohama Fridays. We know when to bid and when to walk.
Years and prices. Our Chevrolet records span 1978–2025. Start prices range 1k JPY to 14.4M JPY (hammer typically lands 1.3–2× the start). On top of that: RoRo shipping (€1,200–1,800), 10% customs, 3.1% or 18.6% excise (engine-dependent), 23% VAT. Full landed-cost calculator sits on the homepage.
Why Japan, not Germany. Chevrolet cars in Japan were bought by Chevrolet Japan dealers and Tokyo/Osaka private collectors. Shaken inspections every two years filter out rusty examples. From the German market you end up with the same cars that have circled there for five years, with the odometer rolled back twice.
