Lamborghini Aventador · 2011–2022 · Buying guide

    Aventador.
    The flagship naturally aspirated V12.

The Aventador replaced the Murciélago and was the brand's flagship across its entire 2011–2022 run. Power comes from a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with all-wheel drive and an automated single-clutch gearbox. The base LP700-4 made 700 hp, while the S, SVJ and Ultimae raised output to 740, 770 and finally 780 hp. The farewell Ultimae was built in very limited numbers. The Aventador surfaces less often than the Huracán at Japanese auctions, but regularly.

    Which version to choose?

    LP700-4

The 2011 entry point. The 6.5 V12 making 700 hp with all-wheel drive. The cheapest and most available way into an Aventador.

    Aventador S

The 2017 facelift. 740 hp, rear-wheel steering, revised aero and a new drive mode. A more polished chassis than the LP700-4.

    Aventador SVJ

The most track-focused version, a 770 hp engine, active ALA aerodynamics and a lighter body. Limited and highly sought-after among collectors.

    Aventador Ultimae

The 2021 farewell version, the brand's most powerful production V12 at 780 hp. Built in 350 coupés and 250 roadsters. The rarest and most valuable version.
