How does registering a Lotus Elan from Japan work in Poland?
Japanese paperwork (shaken) is accepted by the Polish registration office. Required: sworn translation, CEPiK entry, SKP roadworthiness test. The process takes 7–14 days from arrival at Gdynia or Bremerhaven. A right-hand-drive example carries one extra condition, set by § 9(2) of the Polish technical-conditions regulation: it can be registered if it was previously registered in an EU member state, or if it was first registered before 1985.
