Why Buick?
Buick in our auction history. We monitor ~180,000 cars weekly across Japanese auction networks. Buick surfaces most often as: Regal. Every lot lands on our desk before the bid: auction sheet, detail photos, repair history, inspector report.
Where they surface. In our history Buick comes mostly from Fukuoka and Tokyo. That matters because every network runs its own beat: USS Tokyo closes Thursdays, HAA Kobe Tuesdays, TAA Yokohama Fridays. We know when to bid and when to walk.
Years and prices. Our Buick records span 1995–1996. Start prices range 250k JPY to 250k JPY (hammer typically lands 1.3–2× the start). On top of that: RoRo shipping (€1,200–1,800), 10% customs, 3.1% or 18.6% excise (engine-dependent), 23% VAT. Full landed-cost calculator sits on the homepage.
Why Japan, not Germany. Buick cars in Japan were bought by Buick Japan dealers and Tokyo/Osaka private collectors. Shaken inspections every two years filter out rusty examples. From the German market you end up with the same cars that have circled there for five years, with the odometer rolled back twice.
