Is an RX-7 FD with a Wankel worth buying?

Yes, but budget for an engine rebuild. Published price lists at rotary specialists abroad put a full rebuild somewhere between the mid teens and about 30k PLN, depending on whether a seal set is enough or the rotor housings have to be replaced. The compression test is critical and needs a rotary-specific tester: what matters is not only the reading but how evenly the chambers read, and the figure has to be referenced to cranking speed. What does a Mazda from Japan cost landed in Poland?

Does a Mazda from Japan have EU type approval, and does the 25-year mark change anything?

A Mazda imported as a used car from outside the EU holds no EU type approval and cannot obtain one, so it reaches first registration through an SKP roadworthiness test instead. The 25-year mark is an American import rule; it does not apply in Poland and confers no heritage status. The Polish routes are an entry in the voivodeship heritage register under the conservator's criteria and the CN 9705 customs heading for collectors' vehicles from 30 years.
