Bentley Flying Spur · luxury saloon · Buying guide

    Flying Spur.
    The saloon under the hammer.

The Flying Spur is Bentley's four-door luxury saloon, blending rear-seat space with grand-tourer performance. Power comes from the W12 6.0 twin-turbo (626 hp) or the V8 4.0 twin-turbo (542 hp), both with all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch gearbox. The third generation, unveiled in 2019, was the first Bentley to gain rear-wheel steering. At Japanese auction the Flying Spur appears less often than the Continental, but the cars are usually richly specified.

    Which version to choose?

    Flying Spur W12

The range-topper with the W12 6.0 twin-turbo (626 hp). The smoothest engine and the highest prestige, ideal for the rear passenger. The most characterful Flying Spur.

    Flying Spur V8

The 4.0 twin-turbo (542 hp). A lighter nose and nimbler handling than the W12, with lower fuel use. The more practical choice for the owner-driver.

    Flying Spur Speed

The hottest variant, with a tuned driveline, bespoke chassis and a sharper character. The fastest Flying Spur, marrying saloon comfort to sports-coupe pace.
