Honda NSX.
The supercar Senna helped build.
The first-generation NSX, built from 1990 to 2005, was the first production supercar with an all-aluminium body and the first Honda with VTEC in a V6. Early NA1 cars used the C30A 3.0 making 270 hp; from 1997 the NA2 gained the C32B 3.2 making 290 hp, available only with a six-speed manual. Ayrton Senna took part in chassis development and after his feedback the engineers increased body stiffness by 50 percent. The second-generation NC1, built from 2016 to 2022, is a hybrid with a 3.5 twin-turbo V6 and three electric motors producing up to 600 hp combined.

Which NSX to choose?
NA1 (C30A 3.0, 1990-1997)
The original, with the 3.0 V6 and VTEC's first use in this configuration, 270 hp with the manual. Early cars with pop-up headlights are the most iconic. A light aluminium body and pure, unassisted steering on manual cars.
NA2 (C32B 3.2, 1997-2005)
The update with the larger 3.2 making 290 hp and a six-speed manual. The most powerful and most desirable first-generation variant. From 2002 it received a facelift with fixed headlights replacing the pop-ups.
NSX Type R and Type S (JDM)
Lightened, stiffened versions aimed mainly at the Japanese market. The Type R drops sound deadening and comfort for track focus. The rarest and most expensive first-generation cars.
NC1 (3.5 V6 twin-turbo hybrid, 2016-2022)
The second generation. A 3.5 twin-turbo V6 backed by three electric motors, all-wheel drive and a nine-speed dual-clutch. Combined output up to 600 hp in the 2022 Type S. A modern hybrid hypercar.
